Sulindac (Clinoril) which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as Motrin may prove to be effective in suppressing endometriosis related symptoms. Although it needs further clinical study, researchers in Vienna were able to show that Sulindac can suppress endometriosis at molecular level based on their studies in the Laboratory. Mifepristone, formerly known as RU-486, is currently being used as an "abortion pill" or medical abortion. There is a report of 4 cases of women who died after taking the abortion pill due to severe infection and shock associated with organism called Clostridium sordellii after taking this abortion pill. This is being reported so as to raise awareness and that does not mean these infections were caused by the abortion pill. New England Journal Medicine

Hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid) can be associated with neuro-cognitive problems such as difficulty with attention / concentration, psychomotor speed, and memory. This study of 141 patients with low thyroid state showed that despite adequate treatment and normalization of the thyroid tests, neuro-cognitive problems did not completely resolve. Fosomax is effective in preventing bone loss and reduced the rates of fracture after cardiac transplantation. The New England Journal of Medicine

New osteoporosis drug, strontium ranelate, an orally active drug that dissociates bone remodeling by increasing bone formation and decreasing bone resorption.
